Almost beat this the brute force way, is there a quicker approach than just ramping up fire rate/range?

you have to use the conversion bombs to get to the experimental techs

Thanks, I have no idea why I didn't try that earlier... was doing all sorts of crazy stuff.  Even with some mistakes I came in ~ 20 minutes

I can't figure out how to get the ore rig tech... I have delayed destroying the gateway at the top (as that is where the launch for the one that destroys the block shielding the relay tech comes from.)
Any hints for a junior player?  :)

So I'm completely stuck.  I built reactors and techs throughout the first part with a few blasters to handle the really slow drone.  I tried building a few shields, opening the "flood gate" then sending out the conversion bombs, but they didn't turn enough creeper to make any effect.  I didn't nullify the portal because I thought that was the only way to get to all the techs, but it's destroying the land protecting the capsule before I can get to it.  Any help?
