SmileyCoder is stacked up at work and asked me to pinch-hit for this weeks game.

I grabbed some player names from last week's results (copy/paste from mopa42's scoring program) and liked the results.
The numbers appended to the names must be something to do with the way he imports the data from the site - but made for some really fun looking games.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the help Helper. :)

I hope I get time to play some of the maps later this week.
Best of luck with your game,

I might have promised fool proof, but I never promised user proof.

florrat

Whoo!! Featured in a code map tournament. Too bad I'm on low complexity XD

ctuna

Wow! Like florrat, I'm honored to be featured - but why did mine have to have fields? I hate fields!

Ack!
A pure mistake on my part. In too much of a hurry.
I detest Fields, Phantoms, and Experimentals - but was going for some fun gravity and build directions.

Will play yours next and see how bad those <blanking> Fields are.

Yikes! Looks as though I should have trimmed some numbers off the game name (not to be confused with the Name Game). This chart is just a little wide.

Welcome to "Gu250" - I haven't noticed the name before. Have some fun here.

I will keep updating this post as the week goes on to keep the thread clear of clutter.

@ctuna - the Fields aren't all that bad in your namesake game. I way over-built before starting my attacks and fully expect a sub-10 minute score from the better players.

Results table updated.

8 Players, 22 Scores.
Good activity going on.

So far, the 'Shawn' game is my favorite.

Hi I'm starting to play now, and still do not have much experience, but come on.
Thank you and good luck!

rob3k

Tempted to work through all 5 before others have a chance to get to them or refine their scores so I can briefly see myself in the top 3.  ;D

This post is for 'rob3k' - Congratulations on your second place standing!

/Whopped you all on the 4th map. Tried the first one a few times, and my best score is still 13 seconds from yours. Grrr!

Strangely, that was the first game I played this week and just ran through it to post a score - any score. No clue what I did to get it.

Speaking of being new, I just started playing CW recently, and I was wondering if anybody had any tips to share on how to gracefully deal with situations where you have to deal with a very large amount of creeper overrunning the places where you could possibly place a nullifier. The kinds of situations I'm referring to are the almost 50M strength emitter that was in the Smarties map from the last tournament, and the emitter in the middle of the creeper field in the ctuna map from this week's tournament. With the 50M emitter, it was difficult to bring enough firepower to bear to keep the emitter pulses from destroying my nullifier, and with the creeper field, it's not so much about the strength of the creeper, but that the field keeps sweeping around whatever creeper is in the neighborhood too often to easily get a nullifier built, or even shields up to protect the nullifier. In both cases, I managed to eventually power through using brute force, but I'm sure that there must be some more elegant techniques.
