im not entirely sure if this is the place to post this, but i was just wondering if there's anything implemented to find out whether or not a submitted map has been reviewed, before it gets posted. like updates on the review status. ??? ???

Maps for CW1 are manually reviewed and approved by a few selected persons. This usually, but not always, takes between 1 and 3 days depending on the availability of a reviewer. For CW1, there is a list of pending map available.

CW2 maps are reviewed and voted on by map moderators.  After a 24-hour review period, if the map has been approved by enough moderators, it is approved. I do not recall if the list of pending maps is available for CW2.

In both cases, if the map is rejected, a message will be sent to the email address supplied during map upload (submission).

There is, on the Custom Map Submission page. It also shows the time remaining before they will uploaded, provided that enough map moderators have voted to approve them.
