Thumbnail

In the map editor , theres an button called : create thumbnail ,
Where does it get saved ?
( Does it even work ? )

yes, it creates the thumbnail you would see on the site
it is saved where you choose to save it
(yes, it works)

I dont get up an option to where to save it ,
so if it works , it gets auto save to somewhere =P
Anyone know where ?

SPIFFEN, when I click on the button the usual Windows Save dialog pops up.

What version of the editor are you using?

But i dont get any pop up , and havent manage to find where it gets saved .
( Havent looked to hard to find it , but still ... =P )

I can wait until the maps gets accepted to add an thumbnail to my post ,
but i had to ask when it doesnt work for me =P

Have you noticed that saving files on your machine works pretty weird? Same for downloaded files containing certain characters that work fine on the machines of other players, remember?

I would really look into that....

Check if you can find it under C:\Users\spiffen\AppData\Roaming

(AppData may be hidden, so make sure to have the "Show hidden files and folders" on)

Hmm tought i already posted an answer to your tip MadMag ,
and sayed it might be an hidden file =P
But thx for the tip , even thou i cant find it now .

Have you just tried doing a computer search for the cmw extension? It should come up with any and all custom maps on your computer and you could probably look through them all... Or if you remember what the map was called you can search for the title.

There is always something strange with my computer .
( Everyone agrees with that =P )

And it works likes printscreen , so it's better to wait for the map to get accepted ,
and then use that thumbnail =)

If i cant wait , i use printscreen , uploade it to an site to post it in this forum .
( I think the mapeditor thumbnail works in the same way anyway =P )
