As might be observed by the maps waiting for approval, some authors have uploaded a large number of maps in a very short time period.

After some discussion with Virgil, this will result in me approving only  one or two maps map per author in every map approval cycle.

Some of your maps may remain in the queue for quite a while as a result of this. If we don't do this, some authors will totally dominate the first page of new approved maps.

If there is an author with only one map in the queue, that author/map will receive absolute priority.

Which explains why my map was reviewed even thought it was on the bottom of the list.

Yay! That means my map will be posted today!

And on another note; I can't believe how many there are!
He/She might end up beating another big map maker if he/she does more....

I read this, and checked the uploaded maps, wondering how much a large number could be. Wooooooh! :o That was my first reaction.

Very good rule. Anyways, I like some variation when looking through the maps. To much of a good thing is a bad thing :P.

For you there is a special rule (or an exception)  :)

Your map will be accepted in chronological order.  :P

hm, now I can submit a ton and have them posted over a long period of time!

Seriously dude, it doesn't make anybody happy and makes for a lot of work approval-wise.

There is an "limit" for how many maps that get accepted every day ,
and sometimes more maps get accepted if there is'nt any other mapmakers that uploade maps .

Maybe there should be an limit for how many maps that can be uploaded every day ,
so the list and work for you does'nt end up like this again .

An timed thing might also be useful ,
so you can post many maps if youre gonna be away for some time .

Exampel :
Max # of uploading maps in :
1 month = 100 maps .
1 week = 30 maps .
1 day = 5 maps .

So if you uploade 5 maps everyday ,
you end up with some days that you can't uploade maps .
( And the time limit works for more than 1 month =P )
PLZ THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU CALL YOUR TOPIC ! It will make the search work better =)

It's a lot of work for little benefit, IMHO.

Just a limit to 2 uploads per author per day (24 hour time frame) would be a nice feature, but Virgil would have to implement another SQL statement (like the check for a submitted score), so he probably won't put too much effort into that.

Yeah, but that e-mail was sent manually by a map reviewer.
