A very cool map with custom units the sleeper node can build! This map is very challenging so it might take a couple trys before you can beat it! The custom units that i made are the sleeper sniper, reactor, and bomber! Credits: rer24 - Gave me ideas for the units! Telanir - For the awsome sleeper game mode! Flabort - For making flip emitters! (There are flip emitters in this map:) ) Virgil.W - For the awsome game! #CRPL #SLEEPER #CUSTOMUNITS #DIGITALIS #FLIP-EMITTERS

I made very little use of the Thor.  I used it to clean off the island in the center and then I used it at the final kill--and found a bit of a bug.  The sleeper destruct blast killed the Thor.  It also threw a bunch of cannons into the void.

Wow that was a great map!  I'll be honest, I've not played a sleeper map before so this was a first.  It really strained my ability to hold the upper and middle bases at the same time while trying to gain ground.  I did manage to beat it without restarting, but I do micromanage quite a lot.  I disabled the Thor on start to conserve my energy and by the time I enabled it I didn't need it to win.  Ended up not moving it at all and the enemy never got close enough for it to defend anything.  Getting the big berthas built on power zones really helped turn the tide.

Thor? Who needs Thor?  8) In fact I had basically contained the Sleeper and was commencing to clear out a bunch of ground elsewhere in preparation for building and sending in a massive strafer assault - then I checked up on the Sleeper node and noticed that my couple of snipers had its health down near zero.  ::)
Power. Power! I must have more POWER!

Great map. Looked really well designed also.

Was looking forward to a long fight. Unfortunately though, I felt it was cut short because obviously once the Sleeper Node is destroyed, it's an automatic win. Perhaps what you could've tried, I dont know how CRPL works but maybe you could've placed an inhibitor somewhere and code it such that the winning conditions would be dependent on destroying both the sleeper node and the inhibitor. Or maybe you could've had as facing 2 sleeper nodes, one that landed south east and one north west.
All I had to do in this map was concentrate my efforts towards the bottom right and that was it, map done. Everything else I was more or less able to ignore.

In other words, it was a fantastic map that could've possibly been even more fantasticer.

Sleeper nodes are like the inhibitors--blow them and you win the map.

Besides, with it gone the map wouldn't be much challenge anyway.

Note, however, that sleeper nodes can move.

For me the bottom right had some spore towers that couldn't be taken from the air but didn't have the sleeper.

Glad you like my map, the first thing i did on the map is make the Thor because i thought i was going to be to hard, but i quess im wrong. BTW The custom units in this map are going in my next map along with some others! https://knucklecracker.com/forums/index.php?topic=19490.0

"you might have to retry a few times to succeed" yea try restarting a few times just to figure out what the heck is going on. a little tip: if you are going to make custom units, tell us what the heck they do and what kills them. i can tell what anything does or whether i should be attacking them with my sniper or a nullifier or beam or what? 4 tries so farm and i still can't figure out what the tits is happening every 5 seconds. props for making it hard but please give us a bit more information than "it said prepare to die! kill it with fire!"
also try keeping the same dialogue style as used in the story. kinda immersion breaking when characters completely different than how they did in the story

edit: sorry if i sound a bit angry...im just super frustrated from playing the map. if you could give me some info on what everything does, and i mean literaly everything that wasnt in any of the story missions, i could hop back on after work and give it another go

Having not played any sleeper maps myself, I would probably find this as hard as you do.

That in mind, there are other sleeper maps out there that have replies implying that they are easier. I would therefore suggest that you practice on one of those or just increase your experience with the game. Although I notice that your forum account is relatively new, that is not necessarily a measure of your experience in the game.

Enjoy Creeper World: Arc Eternal!

And if you were wondering where my maps have been, I'm almost done building a new terminal, so I'll try to get at least one new map out soon.

thanks ill go check some of them out. i made my account so i could make that comment, but i have been playing for a while. iv made quite a bit of progress in the prospector sector (36f 27m and 33c) and iv played quite a few user maps, especially play-as-creeper maps...freaking love those maps.

Wow! My first experience to play Sleeper map.

It was very unusual game... So many new enemies and so many fresh ideas in map creation! And of course the unforgettable and amazing "the birth of a supernew star" at the end!

By my opinion the best multi-task game in CW3!
Thank You!  :)
