I remember when the gag order got lifted, I was glued to this thread for days. Seeing those giant ships and complex custom maps made by players like Teknotiss was wild. I still refer to some of those builds when trying to come up with my own in game—especially for getting ideas around scaling ship costs and weapon balance. Honestly, I don't think I've ever finished building a monster ship like in Karsten's screenshot without running into some kind of system lag or file issue later though.

Speaking of which, converting big gameplay recordings for sharing has come up a lot. I've been using this https://www.movavi.com/video-converter/wmv-converter.html  converter when I need to trim or change formats for videos before uploading or archiving. Keeps the quality decent and handles longer play sessions pretty well.
