Ha! As per usual, far too clever for me. Don't have a clue how to complete this :-)

you have to get the pickups and attack the Inhibitor.

I have tried a few of these 'trick' maps over the last couple of years. No success. This one is no different. Can anyone point me to a tutorial on what sort of tricks are used?

There are no tutorials, per se. You have to either have a long experience and in-depth familiarity with the game and some of its quirks to beat some of the more complex, puzzling maps that are designed to be solved in a very specific manner using some arcane knowledge of an obscure game mechanic.

Sometimes the map creator will provide some clues, in other instances they take delight in seeing how few scores their maps get.

There are enough other maps that you don't have to get hung up on a few specific maps. or you can return to them at a later time when you have gained additional insight in to a probably solution.

There are several tricks you'll need to know for this map, but even knowing them doesn't make it super-easy.

Here are the relevant tricks that I knew going into this map:
1) You can use guppies to form a chain (as you would with collectors). Experiment a bit and see how this works.
2) Flying a unit between two of these "links" can allow you to connect over a greater distance. Try it.
3) The infamous "guppy trick" - Play map #8591 to learn how to do this.

Here's a new trick I learned from this map:
Spoiler
A map creator can place friendly units - hidden - underneath enemy units.

Marvin's maps will teach you more tricks than every other map combined. I'd recommend just playing his maps from the earliest ones if you really want to test your ability to figure things out.

Another thing his (and others') maps have taught me - There are people out there who are far smarter than I am. And I'm okay with that. If you're NOT okay acknowledging that other people's intelligence far exceeds your own, you will end up getting far too angry - far too often - when playing this game. Just relax and go with it. Peace!

And thanks for the map, Martin!

Its grate to no it's maker is a probably genus!
You disagree with this sentence, don't you?
