This one has got me.  I simply don't have the energy to build enough beams and expand fast enough to get enough PZs for them to have any hope of stopping the 6s when they start firing.

You'll do it!
Use your energy only for the things that are really necessary at the start.

That's what I've been trying to do.  Successfully took both nearby PZs and put beams on them.  The problem is that's not enough to stop the 6s.  Once I managed to get the second set of PZs on one side but that's too far off center to do it--it stopped the spores heading for that side but I was wiped anyway.

After like 10 attempts today alone, I've done it. Used the PZs for more energy. Helped to built up the defense

I finally beat it but I can't imagine using the PZs for energy, they're too valuable for beams.

Use the PZ's for energy at the start of any map, unless the spores are launching immediately. (Haven't played this one yet so dunno if that fits). You'll be able to build everything faster (like reactors, for instance). Once you have enough energy rolling out, switch it to a beam at the last minute.

Because math. =)

Edit: After playing the map, I found it pretty straightforward and didn't feel very pressured. If you grab the 2nd CN right away, you can land it on the back row and only lose a few seconds on your starting time. Plus, you'll be able to grab a couple berthas (not really necessary but it's only 6 energy). PLUS, you'll be able to feed that totem right away and get bonus energy with 2 CN's. Doing this and building reactors in the PZ's will allow you to clear the bottom row steadily and without ever really worrying about all those spores. Reactors on the back 2 rows, beams on the front 1-2 rows.

Rennervate - great work with the map! Kinda wish there weren't so many pick-ups though. Six berthas would probably be enough actually. Love how many power zones there are - that makes it pretty easy and faster-paced, which is pretty crucial for such a big map. And the spores were great. They probably could have come twice as fast to make it a bit more interesting but as it is, this is a map that players of any skill level should be able to enjoy. Beefing it up would narrow down the number of players that would appreciate it. So great job!

Thanks for the map! =)
You disagree with this sentence, don't you?

Thanks for commenting on my map and the kind words. That's right - it should be a map that almost all players can solve

Yeah, too many pickups at the end.  Once again a map where the last step was collecting some tech.  Unless you're fighting on all fronts at the same time I don't see how you would not end up with left-behind tech.  Once I reached the top part I was using all my AC to press from one side, going on both would have been harder.
