I also thought this was a great one, although the start was a little tougher than the "flu", I started in the bottom left and had a lot of trouble getting across the narrow bridge thing to the platform to the right. Took so long on my first couple starts that I had to begin again because while my base was still secure, my attempts to breach the island kept getting wiped out.

I saved the right island for next-to-last before heading west to clean up those last emitters on the thing bridges.

Interesting how different you can approach a map. You can capture the island to the right of the base very quickly with air support and advance further towards the center.

This map looks a lot like the last but the start is too tough for me. I can take and hold the lower left island but the jump to the right is a lot more tricky. Even with air support it is just not working for me. Its obviously another great map but this one exceeds my skill level.

Thanks for the help starting. I almost didn't finish because I just could not see a way to get to that second island.

Fantastic map! One of my favorites of yours so far (I'm playing all of them, or at least all the ones I can't solve visually the moment I look at the map.)

Contrary to most people, I didn't go for that second island until fairly late in my start. Instead I built infrastructure like crazy and then moved north, using my air power to eliminate the emitters and spore towers that were plinking away at my northern defenses. Once I'd eliminated them, I was able to use their power zones to enhance my beam towers, making me effectively invulnerable to the incoming spore waves. Made a huge difference in my ability to control the area and secure my rear. Only after that did I move east.

All my initial efforts to take the eastern island first were met with getting overstretched and bombed out of existence, my northern solution came after getting wiped out and restarting about half a dozen times from misfires on the eastern front. I could take it, no problem, but I could never make holding it cost effective as the spores just chewed up my energy reserves faster than I could replenish them.
