The mystery of the missing years, 2014 #191 to 2019 #7292, appears solved by the sagacity of our brilliant MG's demonstration of MATTER TRANSMISSION. Upgrading a few frail guppies with a tiny GATE that can only transmit small units may appear trivial, the implications for our battles against CREEPER are enormous... requiring a complete rethink/reassessment of our Strategy, Tactics, and Logistics...

Quote from: Martin Gronsdal on November 08, 2022, 06:22:21 PMmany thanks for making this!
Thank you... Your maps are great training aids... Am pleased so many finished the map... Lots to learn here...

Unfortunately, my long winded, in-fun, description would not fit the space provided... it contained hints that may help others finish the map... So rather than round file it...
Spoiler
This map adds training wheels to a challenging map, "#7974 less micro, more macro", by Martin Gronsdal... One simple, "New-To-Me", idea of MG's turned all my conventional ideas of CW3 strategy, tactics, and logistics on their head... Can't believe that more people haven't made maps based on MG's study of the power of the number "1". It compares well to the genre of the many maps I enjoyed using generous jewels...

NEWS FLASH - The mystery of the missing years, 2014 #191 to 2019 #7292, appears solved by the sagacity of our brilliant MG's demonstration of MATTER TRANSMISSION. Upgrading a few frail guppies with a tiny GATE that can only transmit small units may appear trivial, the implications for our battles against CREEPER are enormous... requiring a complete rethink/reassessment of our Strategy, Tactics, and Logistics...

NEWS FLASH - The omniscient creator of this, our universe, is by definition infallible/without error... THUS, only the Trickster, perhaps in the guise of a malevolent lessor god Murphy, that bane of engineers and all who-do-anything, would spread such diabolic misinformation, calling the creator's gift of "STACKED" Guppies... a "GLITCH" ...

JUST IN - As the implications of combining the above NEWS FLASHs sink in... OMG!!! ... There is no defense!!! What have we wrought? ...

AND In honor of making full use of your beautiful standalone Forge/Totem flower... A serious spoiler...
Spoiler
Stacking Guppies? Tap P to pause, place guppy, tap N twice, (guppy moves!), tap Return To Base... and the landing zone is cleared. REPEAT... as often as you like to stack unlimited guppies... See AlexX's post -

Absolutely true Martin... But... While I have heard stories about how some people like banging their heads against the wall... apparently because it feels so good once they stop... An aging micromanager like me... who sometimes takes hours for each game minute needed to complete one of your amazing maps... can't resist any opportunity to speed things up... As my Doc shakes his finger at me and states... "You're not 38 anymore"...
PS:- Of course you meant to say, "the multiple guppy STACKS I used"...
PPS:-  The reason for the multiple Air Denier PZs and totem Training Wheels I added, was to provide the energy needed to generate the aether needed to speed/ease game play... I was able to do it in "1" day, Yay me!...  though disappointed not having to use my fleet of fighters...

Where did you use the glitch?

Where did you use the glitch?
Used the guppy glitch to stack guppies to deploy cannons and/or energy in three areas....
Spoiler
I needed a lot of attack and range for cannons... so your beautiful Forge Totem flower was a great place to stack guppies... And speeding aether production really sped up the game... Note the 2 relays kept the energy packets flowing to the outlying Totems
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2887234729

My first attack using a stacked guppy was on the SW tip of the panhandle tail on the NW island...  Built a few cannons and flew them over to the tip... where they kept the tip clear long enough for my initial hand full of guppies to stack.  Then, MG's matter transmitter guppy GATE innovation pushed the attack and soon overwhelmed the creeper...
PS:- Your map finally taught me a lesson that I kept forgetting for too many years... How to say this so I will never forget??? "The software needed to unlock the keys" is only embedded in the command ship... Without connection... NOTHING". "Got to plug it in for it to work", says the IT.

The second attack using stacked guppy GATES... was the NW corner of the NE island... Always prudent to have your back against a safe wall on dangerous ground...
PS:- Your map taught me another much needed lesson... How to make a combined force attack on a heavily defended shore... Timing is not by speed ratio, nor measured distance traveled... Nope... Just time the bertha pulse & the guppy flight... do a simple subtraction, record the guppy launch time, do a simple addition... and fire the Bertha barrage at the appropriate time...  Pre-positioned fighter support ["O" & "V" keys] cleans up any barrage leakage... Yep the second time on the second map was easier...
