The magnetar is from the Mistet campaign map. It has a fun mechanic.

Start is not hard:
Spoiler
1. Land CN near siphone with 77 energy and open it
2. start to build one terp and one beam
3. after first 7 spores start to your units move beam and terp unit to the center to make land flat for landing CN.
4. after 5-7 sec send CN to the left/up island
5. get first 777 energy at first and start to build beams. do not forget to off "terp" before you will get energy
6. build at the beginning several guppies and destroy Spore Towers in good phase of gravitation circle.

i did a little different

Spoiler
landed near the small package, used wind to my favor and killed the emiter below. Then used the powerzone to keep a beam while i guppied to the spores. After that i spammed collectors in my base so no spores target my nullifier :P

Heh! I tried several different starts, called you a lot of really bad names, quit, and then went back and played the old one you mentioned.
Finally figured out how to survive.
That was a lot of fun and I take back the names I called you.

I did what looked like the intended solution (on my third try), and it was that exactly. Thanks for the puzzle.

The original map (with gravatar) is Mistet from the official campaign. All I did was a complete overhaul of the central area and the early game strategy which yum also kept partly.

Why are there hidden AC spores coming from the 1st spore tower at random, and how are we supposed to know when they stop?  There's no way to shoot them all down but there's no way to know which ones to target.

Creeper converts to AC when it reaches 2148, are you sure this isn't effect you are seeing?
