it was a hard slog but I've taken the outside... but can't see any way to fight into the middle/win?  there's just too much creep?

Now that you have a lot of power nodes, you can add a whole lot of bertha :)

most aren't on power points.... but I started to count burthas and lost count at 50

also mining all ac and dumping in the middle... went to work and left the game running, it's a bit better but not loads!

You need the berthas on PZs, I had 30 by the end. And use the singularity to take the 2000 emitters. With all of the PZs and ore you have limitless funds on this map.

good map

Some tips for speedrunning

The left 4 large 200-emitters can be taken out pretty early from inside the square
the corners of the inside square aren't too hard to hold, you can either drop 20 cannons after some bertha shots or even hold them from the beginning and never lose them. Taking the top 2 corners with about 15 reactors & 10 cannons, 3 mortars is totally possible after you can't stay connected to the outside anymore.

Hopping onto the top of the outer ring from the top corner of the inside saves a bunch of time getting rid of all those 30-emitters.

Forge cannon and even just 5-10 bertha's is sufficient to take the middle, but more bertha's is faster.

Others have pointed out all the power zones you can load with berthas.  However, you don't even need that.  As I went around the outside I left behind a bunch of mortars on the inner edge of the ring.    These blasted nearby creep into a very thin layer--I entered the inner area with a handful of sprayers.  I used all those PZ berthas smash creeper so it was easier to march cannons forward.
