So tell me, what would be a "Fair" evaluation? Are only those that tell you how wonderful your maps are "Fair" evaluations? If so let me go back and change every single score and evaluation I have ever done since negative criticism is "just not fair"

How to explain... Constructive criticism by my opinion must be about map content, strategy and tactics of game. Specifically, can explain if You create and upload own PAC map.

...Map #292, 511, and 3790 (for some reason my name is not shown) are mine. You can now go and play them or just download them and give them 1's I don't really care.

It is pity that Your maps not PAC type.  :(  For my non-PAC maps "n"/"pause" was not so big problem.

P.S. I principally never rate "1".  :) Reason is very easy. As map creator I know how hard to find some new (interesting) ideas. And I respect efforts of map creators. If I don't like some map I simply not playing this game and maybe in future games of this author...

Don't let's argue.

I think that we are agreed that this part of the forum is for discussion of maps; that is, to help people finish existing maps or to help mapmakers make better maps.

Therefore, advice and thoughts help, while arguments do not. Creating a map which implements ideas for fixes and improvements helps a lot to give others understanding.

Framewise advancement can be painful, but also useful.

However, I think that the lack of context which text gives has caused a bit of misinterpretation.
Yum, thank you for your maps, we hope you keep making them.
Chwooly, I doubt that yum was trying to offend. Your feedback seemed constructive, and the note to which you took offence seemed directed at generalities, not at you.

And after all, CW is a game which we play for fun. We make maps for our own and others enjoyment. So if a map is enjoyed by one other person, it was worth committing to CS. And if feedback is given, it is for the benefit of the mapmaker. There is no obligation to play maps we dislike. Feedback is growth, and we need to know what to prune as well as what to fertilise.

Let us keep improving our mapmaking skills, and see what we can create. Agreed?

To be honest I was offended by him putting "Thanks ChWooly" as the title of the map and implying that I am the sole reason he is (supposedly going to stop making PAC map).

But never mind, I will just let it die and move on. I will play his maps, I will rate them as I see fit and I will not comment on his maps as I don't want to be the cause of him rage quitting because someone doesn't fall down and prostate themselves at the altar of Yum.
I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do."

You don't need to pause to win this map. Just hit "T" twice in about half a second.

Yum - your PAC maps are strategically brilliant! I find occasionally I get stuck for a minute and then after trying 4-5 different ideas something works... but then I get stuck again for a minute and have to re-think things. There's no way you can cater to everyone's skill level but I think you do a great job.  If I could, I would track down all the "haters" and toilet paper their houses to make it look like I stuck digitalis all over their property. I'm guessing they'd call me a "creeper" then eh?

Thanks so much for your maps. If I could, I'd share some of my potato chips with you but I can't fit any more into the thing that slides in and out of my computer when I hit the "eject" button.

Cheers, mate!  ;D
You disagree with this sentence, don't you?

Make that +2.
Omnipotence doesn't mean the ability to do what is logically impossible. It's possible, therefore, for God to create beings with the kind of free will that can choose between good and evil, but he can't also force those creatures to choose good. If he forced their choice, it wouldn't be free.

P.S. By the way, I noticed that for game with hard/tricky start better to write some spoilers. Can You explain me how to put jpeg screenshots inside spoiler? Thanks in advance!  :)

I believe you can only post an image to these forums (and most) if they are already hosted on the internet.  Photobucket, Imgur, even the Steam screenshot manager (I used that in one of your other PAC threads).

So it will look like this:

GoodMorning

I'll suggest a PaC map with the following:
Stacked Berthas (so that they take up less space).
Mostly void, partially stars. (Small Creeper-soaking terrain pieces).

Space to build Void Emitters, for those who are willing to go for slow, dull and secure.

The faster way will involve multiple assaults, on terrain-shielded islands.

The following will be an effective terrain shield:

I LandLand...Land I

I I I I I I I I I I

"I" indicating lone terrain points.

PZs to be scarce, and awarded largely from the power connection on the back of each island.

Plenty of power for Abraxis, and CNs to be armoured well.

Map to require isolation and destruction of powergrid.

Alternatively, a Spore puzzle, where there is little point in Emitters, and the trick is to pinpoint the weakness to Spores. Once the Reactor for an area is hit, it is captured. Possibly some units which have a very long recharge time, at allow them to be fired at to create a power drain.

Or even a "rush only", where Abraxis is vulnerable only while building three Thors (power drain), and is afterward almost invincible. If you cut the Thors power too soon, you risk Abraxis retaining defences invincible when fully powered. Attack too late, and the Thors come online. I believe that move orders can be issued to part-built Thors for when construction is complete. The Thors would need a construction cost upgrade, and this would also work with "mostly void".
A narrative is a lightly-marked path to another reality.

I'll suggest a PaC map with the following:
..........

C 8) 8) L   DESIRE!  So many ideas! :)

At first  I  will try to create my traditional PAC map (of course if as I hope it will be more subscribers) with my new ideas.
Then will try Your cool proposal.  :)
