Seems like there is some strange errors happening to CW ,
can it be because of the CW2 is beeing constructed ?
No chance of that. You have the game on your computer. Virgil is doing development work on his computer. Neither is connected or influenced by the site where stats are held, nor where the actual game you purchase/download is stored.
The creeper is doing it!
Oh will we be able to use CW1 maps with CW2?
Hopefully
From what that there development blog has been saying, I wouldn't think so.
When the gameplay is as different as I understood (i.e. terraforming), then the old maps won't be of much use I'm afraid.
It would be nice however when we get the possibility to load them into the new map editor so they can be adjusted for the new game.
Thats what I'm hope-ing for.
(seriously, how the hell do you spell that word?)
Game 2 will be aside perspective as opposed to be a top perspective. How do you guys anticipate that a flat map be "adjusted" for a depth perspective? take one slice through the original map, calculate the 5 depth layers and bingo!?
Not really, since most CW maps don't have the exact same terrain height for each column of cells.
And it's hoping. Hurray for Firefox spell check.

Of course it depends how many elevation layers the new maps will have, but I can imagine that an import routine can take care of this simple conversion as a start off for the new map. When more layers are going to be used, these can be added as empty layers on top. Same for a different size map: additional cells can be left empty.
Will it still be in birds eye mode?

Cool!!
Read it before never understood it...
Well that sucks. Don't think I'll play CW2 if it is tilted display.
_k
What? You mean you don't approve of a vertical side scroller RTS?

Why are you often so negative about CW or CW2?
I've read many comments by you saying things like: CW is too slow, CW is too easy or CW is boring, even in the time you were a mod here at the forums. Nothing wrong with giving your opinion (I do the same for some minor improvements), but I hardly ever see a good suggestion how something can be improved.
Besides that I think a (former) mod should be a bit more loyal instead of dropping unfounded negative remarks, especially when it concerns a new game that nobody has seen yet. Let's just wait and find out when it gets released. :)
