no weapons at all how to proceed, stuck on starting area and creeper coming in also no terp to keep the creeper at bay with walls.

You should have seen me try to do this without realizing I had berthas. Not pretty.
Great map. Very well balanced the whole way through.
Question: how can I design maps that utilize CRPL? And how can I start with existing maps and build upon them?

1. Importing a script and 2. Editing story maps are what you are looking for.
What Builder17 said, or this:
If you want to edit this map,
1. go to your Documents\creeperworld3\colonialspace\maps\7600\ folder (or wherever your colonial space maps are saved)
2. copy 7605.cw3 into the WorldEditor\yourmapnamehere folder
3. rename that into save.cw3
4. open it in Projects in CW3
If you want to use the scripts or images in this map in another map of your own,
1. hit Unit > Scripts > COMPILE ALL to make all the scripts used in the map appear in the WorldEditor\yourmapnamehere\scripts folder
2. hit 'i' to extract all images used in the map into the WorldEditor\yourmapnamehere\images folder
If you want to add a script to your own map,
Either hit Unit > Scripts > Create to add a .crpl to your maps' scripts folder
or just create a scriptname.crpl in the scripts folder.
For any script to be active in a map, you then need to attach that script to a unit (I think?) by
1. compiling the scripts (Unit > Scripts > COMPILE ALL)
2. double-clicking a CRPL core unit or any other custom unit in the editor
3. select your scriptname.crpl in the drop-down, then clicking ADD
Stuck, got base and can defend it(?) but unable to reach first emitter or bombs on lower left from here.
Time is at 19 minutes, should I restart?
Edit: Nvm, had to build few more berthas, had only one previously.
Almost got lower left, this map is so hard. :(

used a relay to connect to the bombs before trying to nullify the emitters. You can do this immediately after the AC bomb goes off (with bertha support

Pretty original setup. Liked it, though figuring out the various tricks took me a while.

also noticed the totems were somewhat a path indicator...at least it seemed like it to me

I've got to the point where I control everything from the horizontal strip in the center of the map downward, but I have no idea how to deal with the 1200+ creeper constantly pouring out of the portals. I've reached a point of stability with the berthas and the AC but even with all 10 berthas focused on any one portal or even the bomb churning out 2000C at the top, it's never enough to keep the creeper at bay. The farthest I've got is I've momentarily gotten control of the 300 AC bomb on the left side with 7-8 berthas focused on the portal, but as soon as the 2000C bomb pops that 300AC bomb doesn't produce enough to keep itself safe. As far as I can tell the shields are all but useless as no matter how many shields I've got the amount of creeper coming out of the portal is just way too much and the shields get overwhelmed immediately. I have to guess there's a way to shut the portals down but for the life of me I can't figure it out.

1. There are about 7 power zones that you can build berthas on.
2. Use as many berthas as you can to target the 2k bomb directly. That's the main enemy. Use as few berthas as you can to defend yourself.
3. Land your CN on that top right power zone to power the AC bomb there.
I also see you found the secret. Nice!

I don't remember what's next, but I think you target the top-left emitter, land the CN there again to power the final AC bomb.
That should give buy you enough time to connect briefly with the 2k creeper bomb.
