For some reason, my playthrough wouldn't give me the "world secure" message.
I killed some runner nests and all gun turrets before killing the inhibitor, maybe that's why.

Same here (except that I didn't nullify any nests, or destroy all the turrets, just a few). The digitalis net didn't die immediately after the inhibitor was destroyed, but I couldn't find anything to  nullify.

So I got the same results... everything destroyed and all creeper eradicated. I played around and found that using beams is key... as there may be a hidden enemy!

This is probably explained in the walkthru, but I like to figure it out myself.

The invisible enemies that require beams seem to come from the enemy cannons firing at command nodes (possibly normal enemies too)
