All -
Apologies for what I'm throwing at you here. I kind of wandered into my first Weekly tournament and found out (after) that I have to create the next one.

I think you will all recognize the authors I've selected and the games look playable. I didn't think it fair to actually play them before posting, so we will all be off to an even start. I'll try the first one sometime in the next 24 hours.

An extra week was tacked on to allow for vacation/holiday time.

PLEASE post comments/advice in case I've managed to muck things up too badly.

Do I get points from the three maps about authors included in this tournament that were in the second-to-last chronom tournament? :P

Oh crud!
See what happens when you put a rookie in charge?

I can't tell by looking - are they actually the identical maps?

EDIT: OK, now I see what happened. Those are CW1. I didn't look for prior games over there.
However...since you're here, why not give these a go?

ctuna

Thanks for the reminder, mth. I enjoyed those tournaments. Wish I could see how to do as well in CW2.

Happy New Year to all.

ctuna - nice going so far.
A few more seconds here and there...and next week you can be the host!

Katra and TheSmileyCoder - you guys are smokin'!
I never can manage 'Experimentals' - especially the Mirrors. I keep turning them the wrong way and blowing up my own pieces.

SmileyCoder

Pause the game as you turn the mirrors that way you can preview the beams. You have some pretty impressive times yourself.
Best of luck with your game,

I might have promised fool proof, but I never promised user proof.

Is there a system to your colorscheme in the score table?

SC - it is the default settings from the scoring tool created for the Weekly tournaments.
I'll find the link to that thread and post it.

PS - looking at it, it appears to be "Gold", "Silver", and "Bronze"...just like the Olympics.

Hi Lord_Farin,
I'm keeping a running total of all the players up in the second post.

Ok, I'll play.
Fun maps - but I enjoy having a variety of complexities. Even low complexity maps offer their own strategy for top scores since you usually don't need to build up as much and can attack sooner.
But a nice blend of maps where you are initially threatened and ones where you can build up your defenses.
