Creeper World 4 Time Mechanic

It's defenitely an interesting mechanic, but I feel like it is giving the player too much control over the entire map (since the player decides when it should be activated). A few idea's:
- Make chronats fixed structures on the map. This forces the player to enable entire zones at once, instead of almost cell-by-cell control. There may be enemy units that activate these as well.
- The zones may 'fade out' slowly. From a certain distance the game speed is halved, some cells further it reduces to 1/4th, and even further to 1/8th. This means emitters get stronger the closer you (your chronats) are to them. The whole map could possibly be slowed by a (high) power of 2 instead of entirely frozen. Time walls remain, though only half as effective.

I've read all of the feedback so far and it's been helpful.  I think I have a plan for what to try next and will work towards that as quickly as I can.
