I've been re-watching Deep Space 9 with my kids, so this week's theme is Characters from DS9.  Sadly, some of my favorite characters like Odo just didn't generate interesting maps.

Speaking of Odo, does anyone know if there are further Star Trek actors involved in Boston Legal?

Amram

just wanted to note that if I do happen to win this, I won't have the time to manage the next tourney, so i'll have to pass that off to second place should I be the winner in the end.

I watched every episode of DS9 on netflix recently.  I like the theme choice.  Kai Opaka was always complex i suppose its only fair that her map reflect that.

Tight grouping for the top 3 places. I'm sure that some of those numbers will change before Sunday, though.

I'm wondering if ea will post a screenshot of Kai Opaka.  I've tried that twice and can't get close to your time. It's awesome!

In previous experimental maps ea's times are always phenomenal.  One week he taught us about the dark beam allowing for amazing short times when you use dark beam pulse or magic mirror techniques.  I had to watch a Youtube video to understand it but its a pain and you have to advance frame by frame to do it.  Sometimes you can also use conversion bombs without additional support beyond a shield to empty and nullify a chamber.  You really have to figure out how much energy it costs to go the better route.  Hope this helps.

I found a screeny of "Kai Opaka". No conversion bombs and no techdomes. You have to dig on left side as fast as possible.

That's cool.  So you use that row of reflectors/mirrors to get rid of the extra creep?  I've been out of town, but I may give it a try tonight.  Thanks so much ea!

Amram is the winner! Since he has pre-passed on doing the next tournament, and I have a theme in mind, I'll go ahead and post it shortly.

hey dt42 i went and dug up the video that shows how those mirrors help:

After i watched this video, my times on experimental maps improved.
