Well I am simply fresh out of good themes. So the theme this week is random code maps that look fun. I hope you will enjoy this weeks complete lack of imagination on my part.

Yes... Extremely scary! If Smiley is having troubles, what hope is there for the rest of us? ;)

I think we may not want to count on a large number of completed games this week...

So happy I managed to get a score for that map, and then find out that not only did EA beat me to the punch, his score was also better then mine!

To give some inspiration for the rest of you, this is how I finally managed to pull of the map. It did require alot of minute timing to get to the white crystal "just in time" to build protection against the phantoms.

That approach never occurred to me. Very clever.
I tried grabbing those middle gems, then running to the right side to make a stand..no go.
Then I tried grabbing the gems and making a stand in the middle...no go.

Let me clear up my new games queue and give that a try.
Thank you.

ea3401

There is a much easier way:  :P
Grabbing the gems with a little wall of shields (pic1).
Then build some blaster to eliminate the gateway/emitter (pic2).
Phantom coils or reactors aren't necessary in the first two minutes.

SmileyCoder

I see, going for a much more aggressive approach. Thank you for sharing :)

Geez...I feel like the Ravens.
It was a win, but an ugly win.

Back to queue.

Many thanks to both EA and SC for the map and compass.

SmileyCoder

I tried EA's approach and managed to cut quite a bit off my time.
Now also showing Helpers win on the we apple table map.

I went for the boring approach:

It was my first run through (albeit loading a few times) with plenty of mistakes, so theres plenty of room for improvement on my time still.

SmileyCoder

@Kithros, I did try that approach, but without succes. Nice time.
