2. "Trinity-Test": first A-bomb is detonated in a desert in the USA
3. The USA detonate an A-bomb in Hiroshima (Japan). 90.000 people die instantly, 50.000 in the next few days because of the radiation.
4. A second atomic bomb is detonated in Nagasaki. 36.000 people die instantly, 40.000 because of the radiation. The origional target of the bomb was Konkura, but because of bad sight Nagasaki became the target.

See here for the rules, an overview of themes and previous tournaments and the overall ranking.

Please post your progress/total scores in this topic.

One of  the maps got already a few plays. But I guess that is not a problem, because non of the usual participants has posted scores (if I'm not mistaken)

I see the one that got a few plays; just use recent scores for contest scoring.

edit: Actually three of the maps had previous plays; but the same comment applies. Use the recent scores for contest scoring. (BTW RandyTravis was a participant in some earlier tournaments.)

My scores so far:
Sept   1  1939  8442  11:04
July  16  1945   8219  13:00  (Nice try; but it's not QUITE the unbeatable Chronom map.)
Aug   6   1945   9549   2:50
Aug   9   1945   8786   8:17
Oct  31   1952   9674   2:01

Total      44670
Power. Power! I must have more POWER!

I'm happy I figured out the second one. I've never used that technique before.
My others (especially 1 and 4) could use a lot of improvement.

ajasquared

hi

ajasquared, I've sent you a hint (via pm). I guess I should rather not post it in this thread.

@katra: thanks. I'm sorry I missed that...

No problem hi. When I look at the times set so far it looks like you found some very interesting maps and that's worth something as well. :)

RandyTravis is actually the father of these tournaments, as he came up with the idea of the Assassinations tournament. I just picked up the idea of a themed tournament and decided to organize it weekly. As far as I'm concerned we can make an exception for this specific situation because we kind of owe him something. If his likes to participate (even with his old times) it's fine with me.

I'll play if I can, earlier in the quarter, I tried to keep up with CW... and then midterms... and then the final project... and yeah. So basically I stopped playing, and the plays are from this summer. Hopefully over break I'll be able to play in a few, and I'm glad to see this tournament is still a weekly thing =].
