Sentinel Cannon

The Sentinel Cannon is a ship part that can attack creeper, digitalis and bots. The Sentinel Cannon is a slower firing but more damaging and longer range version of the Mark 1 Cannon.

Unit Stats

Sentinel Cannons require line of sight to a target in addition to the target needing to be in range. If there is a bot in range and line of sight to the sentinel cannon, it will target the closest bot to itself. Otherwise the sentinel cannon will target the closest tile of creeper it can shoot.

A single sentinel cannon shot uses 0.5 ammo and does 3 damage per tile to up to 50 tiles within a range of 11 of the tile the cannon hit. These 50 tiles are chosen as the closest tiles with creeper on them to the hit tile.

Default bots have 10 health and a default sentinel cannon does 1 damage per shot to bots. These shots can miss though so 10 shots might not be enough to take down a bot.

Unit Usage

The Sentinel Cannon is a very similar weapon to the Mark 1 Cannon; it has similar damage per energy numbers, but higher damage and longer range against creeper. The Sentinel Cannon is a weapon that can deal with bots in a pinch, but is better off supporting rockets on the front line.
