[VAU CPACK] Auto-Station

The AutoStation is a simple VAU that is nothing more than a hover platform housing a Liftic Cannon capable of creating bursts of energy to vaporize Creeper from a long range (while also avoiding thermal dynamics, making it a “cold laser”).
The apparatus is so simple they are cheap to produce and maintain, a rare take by the Vertu Empire to not overengineer. This makes the AutoStation the cheapest VAU to summon using nothing more than 150 Liftic in the transaction process of the Summoner! You really just cover the energy expenditure bill of teleporting an AutoStation to the Summoner's location. The advanced and well developed production systems can make an AutoStation from very little provided mass using negligible energy.

-Basic Info-

  • Only uses Liftic.
  • Base cost: 150 Liftic
  • Very mobile.
  • Long range.
  • Cheap to summon and supply. (Though Greenar Mothrs aren't the most consistent and stable source of Liftic so beware).
  • Only has AutoRestock and low HP AI.
  • 40 HP.
  • Has a “Micro-Rift”-like orb under itself which is how it connects to a network.

-Advanced-

The AutoStation is so cheap, it is very tempting to just save up for a Fighter. Especially how the Fighter will not use Liftic which can be used to summon more VAUs. This has not made them very popular because of this though reported uses of AutoStations have replied to this with how little Liftic is actually used by the AutoStation's cannon, making them a far more reliable source of constant damage than many have viewed them as.

However, they still do use Liftic. Various incursions have developed the policy to have the AutoStation be the 2nd to last VAU to summon (excluding the R-Fighter which is too special to include in the common summon sequence). The V-Battlestation is the last VAU of this commonly practice summon sequence.
Commonly practiced summon sequence: 9 Fighters ⇒ 1 MBF ⇒ 1 HCPPCAS ⇒ 4 AutoStations ⇒ 1 V-Battlestation.

Individuals experienced with using AutoStations however stress that an AutoStation can be placed at the front of this sequence and even all 4 overtake Fighters depending on how quickly Greenar becomes accessible as opposed to large scales of energy production. They make the valid point that the AutoStation essentially does not use energy with the only “use” being the negligible energy needed to power Greenar Refineries, making them a perfect replacement to Fighters during early incursions in energy poor environments when Greenar is quickly accessed.

-Utilization Note-

The AutoStation has proven to be surprisingly powerful, a buddy system of AutoStations can hold off extreme Creeper advances very efficiently and effectively. If the Creeper threatens to tsunami into too many areas that the V-Battlestation can't be in at once, have pairs of AutoStations halt those tsunami waves. Their ability to constantly whittle down the Creeper from a vast range quickly has their damage add up, weakening any advance greatly.
