Unit Move Orders
There are various ways to move units, or to change their formation.
Unit Selection
Multiple units can be selected in a number of different ways.
- click on one unit, hold shown Shift and click on additional units.
- Double-click on a unit, all similar units in a range will be included in the selection.
- Click on one unit, Press Ctrl-A and all units of the same type will be selected.
- If the unit is in a squad (see squads, below) click “Select Squad”
Formation
This hotkey can be changed in Game options. Default is “G”.
When pressed for aerial units (Bombers and AC bombers) the selected units will not fly in a line behind one another, but instead next to one another, thus providing better aerial coverage of an area.
Squads
If the same group of units need to be moved as a group, they can be marked as a squadron and then the squadron can be selected for future move orders.
- Create Squad
Select more than one unit. The “Create Squad” button will appear in the units' command options. Once clicked, the flashing box around the units will change color.
- Select squad
When any one unit in a squad is selected, the “Select Squad” button for that squad will appear. Clicking it will select all the units in the squad.
Units can be reassigned to different squads by following the above procedure.
