ERN (Entangled Rift Node) Crystals are special upgrade items. Added to the ERN Portal they provide global upgrades; assigned to individual units some capabilities of the unit is enhanced

Buried ERNs can be retrieved by using a Terp.

To assign an ERN, either choose the desired upgrade in the ERN Portal or set a unit's ERN button to “WANT”. An available ERN will make its way to the ERN portal or the unit. Note that ERN portal upgrades strengthen over time.

ERN upgrades have the following effects (See ERN Portal for the upgrades from placing ERNs into a Portal slot):

Bertha - Fires three projectiles instead of one in a small area
