Cannons are the basic weapon in your armory. They fire rapidly at creeper-infested ground within line-of-sight and are most effective against thin, rapidly advancing Creeper. Cannons have target priority settings to target either Creeper (default) or Mesh. Their range and speed can be upgraded globally from the ERN Portal or individually by giving a unit an ERN.
Cannons have a limited ability to adjust their vertical aim and as such they function best on flat terrain, or terrain with gentle downward slopes. The limitation applies to upwards aiming to a greater extent. If it is necessary to attack downwards, make sure to place the Cannon at the edge of the terrain for best results. Cannons shoot at ground, not creeper - as such, even if a tall wave is right next to a Cannon, but the ground it's on is not in Line-of-Sight (LoS), the Cannon will not attack.
