Basic Gameplay

1: Choose starting location

Choose a safe area to land your Rift Lab. Pay attention to natural resources as well as boosters such as energy supplies (UltraC units, Resource Pods, etc.) that may give you a faster start-up.

2: Set up an energy system

The most common energy supply is from building towers and the green soylent they generate. The towers are also the network that transmits energy and other wares to and from units.


Building Miners on Resource terrain can also add to your energy supply.


3: Establish a base of operations

Build the minimum necessary units to defend your base from incoming creeper and other attacks. Pay particular attention to the mini-map that shows all enemy locations, attack timing. and attack strength.

4: Set up a factory processing system


Some weapons and mission objectives require \wares\. Wares are obtained by connecting to or harvesting resources available on the map and processing them in the Factory into the necessary ware type.

The types of wares are as follows:

Ware Resource How obtained
Anticreeper Bluite Miners on Resource terrain, set to produce Bluite
Connect network to Bluite ore
Arg Redon Connect network to Redon ore
Liftic Greenar Build Greenar Harvester in range of Greenar Mother node

5: Collect and Use ERN crystals

Ern Crystals can provide overall boosts to capabilities if they are installed in the ERN Portal, or some units allow individual upgrades (range, firing speed, etc.) when a unit has been allocated an ERN from the command, Some ERNs are buried and a Terp is required to dig them out.

6: Objectives

Some maps have required objectives. You should achieve these to obtain a victory.

There may be additional, optional objectives. You can choose to pursue these if you so wish.
