Hover Platform

Purpose

The Hover Platform is like a vanilla Platform, but it's able to hover and reposition itself, including above land.

Hovering at a height greater than 5 costs Arg. Moving the Hover Platform also costs Arg. Once the Hover Platform runs out of Arg, it will be unable to climb and the horizontal movement speed will be very slow.

Like the Platform, the Hover Platform can only be build inside the void.

Unlike the Platform, the Hover Platform will accept Sweepers as passengers.

How to use

  1. Adding or removing passengers can only be done when the platform is landed.
  2. Some units are too heavy to be passengers: pods from porters, beacons, m-rifts and nullifiers. They can still be built on the platform, but the platform cannot move.
  3. Moving the platform or hovering at a height greater than 5 burns Arg, but a landed platform generates a tiny amount of Arg.
  4. Platforms without an ERN, hover at a fixed height of 5, creeper or no creeper. These are simple dumb platforms.
  5. With an ERN, you can chose the hover height of platforms yourself. In addition, these platforms will increase their height to stay out of creeper automatically. Until they reach the max height of 25 that is.
  6. With an ERN, you can use the “Boost ERN” ability, during which all passengers will act like they have an ERN, but the platform will use up it's Arg supply in the process and afterwards the passengers will receive a 10 second stun. If the boost is no longer needed, turn off supply so that the platform runs out of arg sooner.
