Hover Platform

Purpose

The Hover Platform is like a vanilla Platform, but able to hover and reposition itself, including above land.

Like the Platform, the Hover Platform can only be build inside the void.

Unlike the Platform, the Hover Platform will accept Sweepers as passengers.

How to use

  1. Adding or removing passengers can only be done when the platform is landed.
  2. Some units are too heavy to be passengers: pods from porters (bugged), beacons (bugged) and nullifiers (totally overpowered). They can still be built on the platform, but the platform cannot move with them.
  3. Some units are automatically disabled while the platform is moving: Shields (visual glitching) and M-Rifts (bugged while moving).
  4. Moving the platform or hovering at a height greater than 5 burns Arg, but a landed platform generates a tiny amount of Arg.
  5. Platforms without an ERN, hover at a fixed height of 5, creeper or no creeper. These are simple dumb platforms.
  6. With an ERN, you can chose the hover height of platforms yourself. In addition, these platforms will increase their height to stay out of creeper automatically. Until they reach the max height of 25 that is.
  7. With an ERN, you can use the “Boost ERN” ability, during which all passengers will act like they have an ERN, but the platform will use up it's Arg supply in the process and afterwards the passengers will receive a 10 second stun. If the boost is no longer needed, turn off supply so that the platform runs out of arg sooner.

MVerse

The Hover Platform pylons will become shared between players once a first (any) objective is acquired.

Properly syncing movable pylons was not feasible, so pylons are only shared with other MVerse sessions when the Hover Platform is stationary.
