Can you hold on against creepers from highlands with some help from anti-creepers at river?

I was cussing the lack of Totems at the start, but got over it.

Dito, loved this one, great idea with the river of AC. Just enough to hold off the Creeper but not enough to make it comfy! I am a big fan of spores and 8 creates a minor energy crisis every minute or so, adds an extra level of challenge as you try to expand.

I found one totem ok, there was a lot of room for collectors and once I had two or three reactors I was fine.

No totems for a long time, no terps.  A royal pain, finally beat it.  By the time I had sprayers I didn't have a need for them.

Yeah - it took me nearly 12 seconds to connect to that first Totem. I guess that's a "long time".
