Are nullifiers the only way to damage the boss on this level?

Almost certainly! And that's why you're limited to a single one.

The black Emitters aren't too strong, so I left them alive -- better that than losing my whole base. I figure you could save some time by upgrading Build Speed to the max and hitting the boss mid-flight -- I wonder what would happen?

I didn't finish the map: I didn't feel like repeating the same assault 4 times.
