Here's my complaints about the map.

One of my complaints is the AE Range. I'm serious, i thought my game was bugged so that i couldn't place strafers and bombers, Why would anyone have it like that?

This next one contains spoilers, so I'll put it in like so.

My next complaint is the cost of the Thor, seriously, the original Thor costed 500, and even then, there was no limit and the emitters and spore towers kept coming, and they even used the main cannons in a way other than a homing Bertha or two. As i'm writin- err... typing, I don't see any way it's really used, other than as a whole plow to clear up the creeper.

also, I REALLY dislike the limits imposed. some of them put a bit of unnecessary panic (there's about as many ore mines as there ore deposits) along with some really awkward ones, (4 motars.. 2 Snipers? theres runners about, wouldn't you want to have more?).

And also, even though it says it's meant to be long, even the makers own score is an hour and 25 minutes. And thats the fastest score on there! it's that long of a slogfest.

Those are my complaints about the map.

About the previous post:

AE wasn't really a problem, but it would have been nice to get more use out of air units.

I finished before Thor was built.  I thought that was kind of funny.

Ore mines = ore deposits.  Funny.

2 snipers were more than sufficient when placed on PZs.

My biggest problem was it was repetitive.  I approached each of the 3 outer quadrants the same way, so that was kind of boring.  Unfortunately symmetry is like that.

I would have liked Bertha rewards instead of more air units.

yeah the air units were basically useless, more bertha's would have been useful on the other areas.
also thor is sort of pointless being so pricy, making it 10,000 would've been bad enough, but 25,000 is a bit silly.
i'd also have preferred a little more ore and mines
still good effort, cheers dude!

Since the map can be cleared without the Thor, I sort of saw the high priced Thor as an attempt to put an upper limit as to how long of a slog it would be, by adding a Thor to your arsenal once your time got too high. Overall I enjoyed this map, although I did think it could have been toned down a bit.

I haven't submitted a map for play, but is 256x256 the default size?
It seems to me that this (and many other maps) would be much better suited to a smaller footprint.

the default is 128 x 84, 256 x 256 is the max possible size.
i'd agree this could have been smaller, and i think i'm also guilty of oversizing some maps of mine too! ::)

At an hour and 11 minutes Thor still wasn't finished...  ???

The initial AET was a bit excessive; but once I killed it the air units were quite useful in clearing the little center island and establishing beachheads on the other three quarters. Though I too would have preferred bonus berthas to air units. (Or sprayers that I didn't have AC to use anyway.)

Remember you have a boatload of aether left after all useful upgrades. I dialed the singularity weapon down to 25% and used it to punch my way up the center on the final two quarters - using my PZ berthas to kill what it gathered.
Power. Power! I must have more POWER!

I think you can get the Thor built at least 20 minutes earlier than that, but you need to max out build speed at the forge as early as possible.
