Reporting/debugging a bug ?

Hello,

While I was playing Aether (I believe it's possible to do it in less than 8 minutes), I caught a bug.

I had used one Forge improvement to improve energy storage, however, at one point, my energy went back to 25.

I tried, and tried again, and no matter what, every time, the energy was going back to 25 at the same moment.

I can't find what is causing that bug, I'm sorry, and to make it worse, I don't even find where Creeper World stores the saved games -_-
I thought I'd see something of significance in c:\users\username\AppData\CreeperWorld3, or in c:\program files (x86)\KnuckleCracker\CreeperWorld3 (both paths were typed by memory, but you get the idea), on my Windows7 PC, but there isn't anything looking like a save slot...

is there a way I could help debugging that stuff, or is the matter already reported and in the good hands ?

Please don't use inappropriate words in our forums -G.

Look in "My Documents\CreeperWorld3" for for the saves.

The save games are held in folders in (as has been said) yur Documents folder, sub-folder CreeperWorld3.

Look at the following structure to determine the path to the virgilw system where the Aether map save files will be.

Edit. Also look in %appdata%\CreeperWorld3\  for the log.txt and attach that as well.

I will move this thread to Support.

Aaaah. Thank you !

I updated windows's library so that My Documents wouldn't be in c:\username\MyDocuments, but in another partition instead. I didn't think the game would use an absolute URL instead of the relative one.

There, I put two save states, one right before the bug, the other right after the bug, they're here :

And there are those lines that appeared in the game's appdata\ CW3 \ log.txt : http://pastebin.com/ESwc5Bfy

You can use the information in this article to place the save games where you prefer.

It works best if you attach debugging information and save files directly to the post you create here.. Just below the window you type a post is "Additional Options" that allows for attaching one or more files.

The forge requires packets to be functional.  If it loses supply, it will eventually shutdown.  When that happens, all of the purchased upgrades go offline till supply is restored.  You will also see "Needs Packets" written over the forge on the map when this happens.  In your second save, this is what has happened.  One of your relays seems to be cut.  If you let the save run for a bit you rebuild it.  Then it gets destroyed again.

I noticed that the Forge does that, too. Except, you know, I knew what was happening....

Haaa, okay, I learned something :D

I didn't think there would be a power supply failure, I didn't realize my guppies were set to refuse new power packets supply, I did that to finish creating generators, and then forgot about them.

Well, sorry for the false alert, then, and thank you :)
