It's allways easyer whith a circel tool.

here you are spliffen to draw one u start with 2 on each side and 0 diagonal then 3/1 4/2 etc

Those are octagons. When I want circles, I use mathematics to build one.

since every block is square these are the best you can do

Not neccesarily. That's good for very small circles, but with large ones (I tend to use 20x20 or bigger) that starts to be very inaccurate.

They told you how: make a circle in paint or any other tool. Then use that as a custom image in the editor to draw the circle before you reset the background.

In htmc I use only circles and I use the img's I have posted as maps.

Step 1: draw middle
Step 2: draw a point straight right, left, above or under the middle
Step 3: count distance
Step 4: draw the other points straight right, left, above and under the middle whirh the same distances
Step 5: improvise the other things of the circle
Step 6: remove the middle

(1-5 are the steps to make a circle, X is other ground. If you remove 1 you have done step 6)
