At least I lasted until 20mins in this time.....it is the "easy" version.
And then I noticed the incoming spores from the top right, oh sh** I haven't saved.
Wiped out again!

The top right spores can be killed.  Almost no other use for a guppy in this one.  And if you've expanded to the next island by the time they fire you can ride them out anyway.  I was almost able to ride them out with just the starting island (in the hard version), I could pick them all off but eventually I would die of the energy deficit.

Another magnificent, well balanced map. A far superior version (IMO) of your earlier map. Not so tough to get going but hard work throughout. How you conceive of such a map I have no idea but can only praise you for putting such a high quality piece of work out there. An easy map to mark, TEN.

I think I have to disagree. From my perspective, the original was far superior. This is more like earlier maps where the challenge is basically gone once you hit the 20 minute mark, it just becomes an optimization problem for faster times after that.

A nice middle ground would probably been to just have the one totem, but moved it to that lower right spot that is easier to access earlier. If the spores/bugs/creeper had remained the same it still would have been really challenging but the ability to use upgrades would have moved it along a little bit.
