Nothing like a good puzzle map to make me want to go out and mow the lawn.

I didn't solve it, eggs zackery, but I think I figured out a solution.

From the start, I kept trying to finish the connection to the Terp and Thor.
No joy.

So I
Spoiler
Jumped down to the island and dug in for the big battle.
It wasn't that hard to survive and then start relaying my way back up to the Thor and the (oh carp!) the Terp that I left sitting there.
If you try this, go ahead and jump the Terp with you. You're going to need it for the final pickup.

I posted a reply to this message but it got deleted for some reason.

In 71 or 72 a bunch of us Marines competed against some Norwegians and Swedes (among others) in an Orienteering meet.
By the time I crawled across the finish line, the beer was all gone (as were the women).
It was our first year of competing and your women all finished ahead of our first finishing guy.

Joining the dots:

You can't build your way to picking up the thor.... but there's something already built there - the terp!
So move the terp to dot #2, and build in between. For those new to the map - disable the ore siphon to keep it alive!

Establishing a base:

Fly the terp and CN to the lower island, land near the forge to keep it powered, and get a connection to the totem asap. Quickly build ore mines and sprayers to keep the creep at bay while you spam reactors to get your power levels up. Use a couple of reactors on PZs for a quick boost. Level up power and build speed on the forge. Build a few more cannons and expand out the network a little, while you start building a couple of thors.

Getting back to the message:

Build as many reactors as possible, while using the berthas on the PZs (remove the reactors on the PZs from earlier). Build more thors. The Thors are quite good at keeping the bulk of the creep away from the island, but you'll still need cannons and sprayers to mop up the excess. Then use the berthas to clear a path, and drop sprayers along the way to keep it open.  You don't need to clear all the creep - just enough to get to the message

This is why I use up all my four letter words while losing at puzzle maps.
AFTER someone shows me how they did the "impossible", my response is: "Well, of course".

What a map! Just had my first run through, set the Berthas to autofire for most of it which perhaps was not the best idea! Hopefully get another swing at it soon, so many options for the start, didn't use the terp at all in the early game, that could possibly be the key!

I won't be making maps in a while, because of the recent situation. And I'm home alone with my dog and my beers, as my wife is gone for the long weekend, and I wanted to make a few maps, since no one would get upset with me in front of the computer 24/7.
