Gah! This was quite a fight!
This was definitely rated 10! Much harder start than some of the DMD I've been playing. I didn't see how to do this one quickly, so I'm way down in the rankings time wise at over 1/2 hour, but great fun. I really loved all the spots to park a "superguppy" and do damage while trying to defend against the onslaught. Lots of mutitasking.

CDS - a couple of thoughts...
Some of the players with better scores than you have been around since CW1 was introduced and have learned some pretty good tricks along the way. Despite your relative newness, you still scored in about the top third of all players.

Attached is a screen grab of my starting position. If I take another run at this one, I'll try to remember to grab some more example.

Yikes! Never mind about that new guy/old timer stuff I posted above. I just saw that you obliterated my time on DMD 9178 - my own map!
I might have to put a little eye-opener in my second cup of java and give it another go.

lol, and this "newcomer" is actually an old fart that has only just returned.

I found CW back in it's infancy and have played every of Virgil's games since. My "newness" is due to the fact that like other Virgil works in the past, when I move on I tend to move and and not look back. So I've not played CW3 sine Particle Fleet came out. Haven't played CW2 since CW3 came out, etc..

Covid19 had forced a lot more spare time on me, so I just picked up CW3 again in the last month or so, and am loving it again. :) 

That said, I was never a fan of the speed rushes, always preferred to work logically methodically and strategically. This is part of why these maps are so exciting for me,. it has pushed me into whole new territory of game play and tactics.

Aha! I see that we started about the same time (I used a different account my first time around).
Regarding age, my workout tape starts with that Bob Seger classic about 'Old Time Rock & Roll'.

After CW1, I got to do some Beta testing which was a lot of fun - (until PF).
I never could figure out what was going on with that concept, and left for 2-3 years.
Back now and having more fun than ever.
On a per hour basis, the cheapest fun I've ever had.
