A bit tricksy on the start, but other wise rather standard pump-to-victory.

sooo.. any tips? I've been trying a few different starts, but get overrun quite quickly no matter where I start ..

spoilers, of course
Spoiler

One CN on the middle column in top.
A double row of mortars backed by a pair of cannons will stop the creep at the high dropoff.
Obviously this will need a lot of power to run, focus on power first and build the mortars and cannons at-the-last-second.
Do NOT let even one drop of creep reach the two pumps on the platform, they lead to your unprotected base in the south.
Do not bother with any spore defense at first.

Same time, second CN to the middle island south.
Build forge & access totems there.
Build much power, load into guppies, finance your top base.

Expand from middle top to both sidebars at the top, using shortrange guppies. The presence of the pumps ensure the top platform remains clean for invasion!

Drive the creep off the left&right platforms, preventing further creep-amplify spillage
Only about now you need to build spore defenses. But you better build a mountain full of them, those launchers puff out 20-ish spores at a time, and *no countdown warning* for them.

Once you have driven the creep from sloshing into the amplifying pumps, its clear sailing.
Just lower the surplus creep, get power to the convertable emitters, and now the creep getting pumped will be *yours*

You can later via relays or guppies recycle the amplified AC from the south back into the pumps, but realistically this is not needed as the rest of the map has *feeble* creep production and can just be overrun by a normal attack, very easily.
