The world is completely flooded, except for a small village in the southwest. Completing your first objective timely is key to tilt the balance. Thanks for all your constructive feedback so far. Hope this one keeps you busy for a while

I was about 15 minutes in when I realized I was entirely going in the wrong direction.

I like!

This map forces the player to make some real decisions at the start..
Dig in and defend, slowly pushing the creep back,
or mount an expedition and set off for the much sunnier lands to the East? But better do so quickly, while the creep there is shallow enough to be defeated easily!

Of course, spending all that effort on making an expeditionary force really cuts into the defense budget.

And easy map, that still imparts some difficult strategic choices.
