Way beyond me, I can only kill about half the spores in the NE and I don't have the territory to stop the ones that will launch.

yeah, its not possible to kill the 9 that remains there, but you can make do like that.

you can leave a beam on power zone and a guppy there to kill off many of the spores, then your base defenses can handle the rest.

Also remember, every brown emiter leaves a movable power zone that you can retrieve.

For me, this map is not just hard, but ab-so-lutely impossible to start.

But EXPERT ONLY means that you have to concentrate in good balance between energy supplying and building of player's units. Also you have to make some actions (like nullifying with using Movable Power Zone many spore towers) in time.
All is logical and can be realized by ANY player!

Third time lucky.
Apparently the 'trick' is to invest a LOT of the initial energy into reactors, thus allowing a better growth.
Once i managed this, it was easy enough.
Many Many retries with small changes though, kinda cheaty.

good job...and yeah, when a map gives you energy packs, it means some mid-long term plans can be turned into short ones.

Yum, you obviously put a lot of skill, time and effort into your maps.  I think you are probably by far the most prolific map maker in Colonial Space.  Thank you for your work, and know that I always look forward to playing your maps!
