Be warned experimental spore towers are harder to kill than they look.

Wow, they really do fight back! I thought they were a tad on the hard side to be honest, more about upgrades than technique.

I assumed that all 3 spore towers would be completely unique, perhaps one responding to proximity of units, one responding to number of units or perhaps depth of creep.

Having said that it is a neat idea and a very good map, also loved the surprise that was rewarded each time a spore was taken down!

Yeah, Willbir I really like your maps and this one is no exception! Great creativity in creating a decent challenge!

I went for the top one first just because it seemed like the most difficult, and the other two did seem a lot easier but maybe that was my imagination.

My solution to the upgrade problem? Secure a perimeter and then go to Home Depot to buy some tools and storage for said tools. Come back home and your upgrades are all ready to rock PLUS you have NEW TOOLS to play with!! I mean, seriously that's like the best of both worlds right there!  ;)

Thanks for consistently coming up with new & interesting challenges, Willbir! I'm looking forward to whatever neat stuff you come up with next!  ;D ;D ;D
You disagree with this sentence, don't you?

Really curious what strategy the low-timers on this map followed?

Spoiler

My personal strategy was to rush the digitalis, prevent it from spreading to the 2nd "circle" (dam?) and then take the 3 circles in order clockwise from bottom right.

Not sure if I class as a low-timer on this one but I reckon I could get close to 12 mins on a replay.

I did exactly the same as you!

The key (and my mistake first time round) is not to attack until you are at full strength, you waste a lot of time and useful energy achieving nothing. If I replayed I would start by building a full network of collectors and a bunch of reactors and the minimum units needed to roughly contain the creep. The bottom two circles will not overflow so nothing needed, just stop the digitalis reaching the bottom and have a few units around the tip circle to keep the creep back. Then upgrade range and firepower as well as build speed and packet speed. When you are strong send everything you can at the spores, idealy attack from all directions, I attacked from 3 as it spreads out the spores. Taking the spore towers should not be a campaign but an assasination!

Just had another go, 10.16. Just like I said below, the only thing I would stress is loads of power and then maximum aggression.

Just out of interest my final Forge upgrades were:

Spoiler

Power 40
Range 200
Rate 200
Build Speed 70
Packet Speed 80
