Desc:
A simulation of the finnal days of civilazation before the creeper took over setting the univerce we see in the origional story. Probably the hardest map on the arcade. Its long and gets more difficult as it goes on. A TON OF FUN! Tips if you need them - - - - - Bring the science bases defences ( the boxed area with walls) into your main base which should be placed in the middle of the map. Use all the starting energy to make reactors, fast. start getting beams long before the spores start counting.

You have to get the start just right but after that it's just a march through lag.  I very much disagree with your advice, though:

Spoiler
I started from where the units started out, although I used a CN to grab a couple of the artifacts that I used to slow the creeper to the east of my base.

First, build a nullifier to take out 4 spores.  One gets a reactor, the other three get the beams you start with.  That's enough to cover your base so long as you can keep them powered.  Kill the other two spores in your base for an increased safety margin.

At this point it's simply a matter of pushing the creeper back.

Yep, 'a ton of fun' indeed! I really enjoyed this, I love a big epic battle!

My strategy:

Spoiler
Land 3 CNs, 1st one bottom left, nulifiy all spores including AC ones and use this corner for reactors, forge and berthas. 2nd bottom right, quickly nulify a couple of units to the right, set 2 reactors on PZs and expand. 3rd CN in centre by the 350 energy pack. Carpet of collectors, outer ring of mortors and cannons set to digitalis at key points. Then try and connect all 3.

I also used the freeze with Guppies and PZ bertha to take out top left, top right and bottom middle remotely, this was a huge advantage. If you use two freeze on each one (one after the other) you can nulify a unit and then place a nulifier on the PZ to take out a lot of units.

If you cannot take advantage of more than one landing site this could become a slog or could be turtling heaven!

Please forward this to the wife, she would never believe you!

To be fair this time took about an hour an and a half to achieve.
