The poorly guarded inhibitor is the downfall of many map makers. Having laboured lovingly for hours over your creation some idiot comes along and points out that they can just nip in and take out the inhibitor in under a minute! See forum for tips.

This series of maps is more of a beginner guide than i intended for two reasons.

1 – I am not a skilled enough a map maker!
2 – 9 times out of 10 the best times have less to do with skill and are more down to experience and being able to spot the shortcut.
(The insane times of EA and Alter are down to a lot of skill and an incredible understanding of the dynamics of the game plus a lot of patience!)

Still hope these maps prove fun as speed runs or help newer players.

Spoiler
Use one guppy to build two mortars to protect your base, particularly the left guppy. Stop resuply on both guppies.
Send left guppy and original mortar up to top left and take out inhibitor.

Well, I learned something. My normal strategy involves a Reactor carpet, and I am often surprised at just how little firepower people can get away with, especially early-on.

Takeaway: While power is good, power for power's own sake has no place in a tight situation.
A narrative is a lightly-marked path to another reality.

Very true, I very rarely build more than about 10-15 reactors, aether upgrades and PZs help a lot. Collectors are massively underrated, a carpet of those is very effective for the cost.
