CONST_CONNECTABLE

Does CONST_CONNECTABLE have a variable length? Instead of the standard distance, can we make it like relays?

It's been tried, without result.
To simplify, there seems to be an assumption that Collectors and Relays connect actively, and everything else receives connections. So the CRPL Cores can't make connections themselves.
