I rarely do a map twice but this one has such a fascinating dynamic I had to find out how to shut everything down.

What's the gadget in the center?  It can be charged but nothing seems to happen.

It seems to be flip emitter , but broken.

Are flip emitters a custom thing? I remember them from the online tutorial missions, but I haven't seen them in the main storyline. Unless they are from the alpha sector? I don't have the alpha sector yet. :-[
