I had some trouble starting when I updated windows, and after reinstalling everything and getting it to work again, I cleared all my data to start over fresh. My issue now is that the first world, Tempus, gives me an odd map, more equipment than I should have, and no shield key for the next world. What do?

EDIT***

I just ran the game as administrator, and it gave me the proper map. It looks like the issue is Windows 10 doesn't like to allow games and such permission to add or change files, which meant the game couldn't create the level data properly.

If you have already cleared your data have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game? Clearing the data might have corrupted files that a reinstall would fix.

I phrased badly, I got this problem before my last reinstall, starting on the steam version and then reinstalling the normal version. reinstalling doesn't seem to fix it.

Look here for where all of your game's progress and such are stored:
http://knucklecracker.com/forums/index.php?topic=17997.0

That location and its contents are not affected by installation or reinstallation of the game.  To totally reset progress rename the creeperworld3 directory at that location to something else while the game is not running.

And if you have Steam synchronization (cloud backup or Steam Cloud or whatever Steam calls it), turn it off before you rename the files.

I had found the documents folder before when I was troubleshooting a different problem, and had made sure to clear it before I started reinstalling. Now that Data folder has nothing in it, however.
