Yeah, when I realized what you could do with it I knocked a third off my time.

Yeah great couple of maps  from you, huge fan of picture/real world maps, keep them coming.

I'm going to replay this later, I reckon I can beat EA's score (6.55) on this one (although he can probably improve his time as well!)

Spoiler
And yes the black outer rim is invaluable, you can nulify most of the map from it. You can also take out the two nests before the digitlis hits if you are quick

Thanks for posting, all.

Dominik, share some of your strategy to help us. Where did you prioritize your building early? I presume you built a forge immediately, but do you go for reactors and build up a power supply before doing much of an assault against the creeper and emitters? I'd love to know the path you take on a map like this.

Yeah gladly, some screen shots attached.

Spoiler
I make power by main priority on every map and get as many reactors on PZs as possible. In the bottom left I switched to 3 reactos and one mortor after the screen shot at 1.30.
I use most aether for energy production. Normaly one upgrade for range and fire rate is enough. I did not upgrade rate or range any further than 50 on this map. I used some aether later on to speed up build speed and packet rate.
After the 4 min screen shot I put cannons on the PZs in creeper and then fired a singularity in the middle and then put nulifiers on them to take out the centre.
It is mostly just very aggressive building and ensuring that I never have a surplus of energy but am never in the red and sustaining that for the entire game is a real dicipline. I used to do it at the start of the map but after 4 or 5 mins would be well in the green and could not keep up the intensity.

Awesome, thanks for sharing your tips! I'm going to replay this map and see how much better I can do. When I played, I went a completely different direction than you did. Looking forward to trying this with some new ideas.
