Symmetry may be pleasing to the eye but it makes for boring and repetitive game play.  It you are going to do the same exact thing on each arm, then if you can do one the others are the same.

Agreed. I did one arm - an interesting challenge, but couldn't be bothered to do the other three.

One way to keep the symmetry but lose the repetition is to put an inhibitor in each corner. The game is just as hard, but faster.

And why the overpriced Thor? It would take about half an hour to build.

The spores are very heavy, hard to stop at first.

Spoiler
At first cannons on the raised platforms at the four corners of your start area and set to target digitalis will keep the creeper at bay.  Do not expand onto the next low area until you've build up more!

Second both of these.  I didn't want to give up starting space for the Thor so I didn't start it at first.  The last I looked at it's build area it wasn't done.  At that point I was using singularity shots to clear things, the Thor wouldn't have been of much use anyway.

It took me few tries to get a foot hold.  But once I had good number of reactors and beams going, approaching a corner was easy.  Nullifying a corner was super-tough.  Sure the no fly zone is easy to take out and leads to a few scenarios of advancing.  But by this time the Thor was built and ready for action.  A coordinated effort is still needed to complete this map.  No walk in the park for me.  I really like these types of map!  I wish more authors strived for this style.

If I would change one thing, it would be a single Bertha tech in each corner.
I respect those who quote me the least.
