Desc:
An artificial asteroid, created by a long forgotten species as their last refuge from the creeper. With their own weapons turning against them, they never stood a chance. Can you do better? Features a new enemy, the Corrupted Mortar.

Trying this map now! seems like a lot of fun :)

Edit: Great map! 10 from me.

Well made map, but I was admittedly extremely miffed that there was absolutely nothing I could do to prevent the "anti-mortar" projectiles from landing. Beams didn't stop them, shields didn't either, and there was too little ore on the map to create an effective blanket.

You could however stop them from firing. Which to me seemed just as good. On the first map I had a bertha and bombers starve the long range mortars. When I tried the hard version I decided to just ignore their attacks and power through. I used strafers to cap all three emitters and then just pushed in with cannons and mortars and I just replaces the relays every time they were destroyed.

I really enjoyed these maps. Thanks eduran

Nice one. Probably lots of different ways to attack it.
Spoiler
I nullified the emitters on the two little islands on the right end of the main asteroid first, so I could put strafers on the power zones.  Then set those strafers to kill the long range corrupted mortars' ammo supply. Next I built guppies, landed a terp on the little creeper free island and made flat spots big enough to nullify the emitters feeding both of the long range corrupted mortars. Some more terraforming flattened the islands for the placement of berthas on the power zones and built two sniper platforms on the center island. With the enemy nicely softened up I was able to attack up the middle to nullify the inhibitor fairly easily.

Power. Power! I must have more POWER!

There's only one thing that bugs me about this unit: the fact that it can fire any creeper it has absorbed for ammo even if it is not immediately surrounded by creeper. I thought the text for one of the CS maps said the unit could not fire while creeper supply was cut off, meaning it needed to be touched by creeper to fire.

Yeah I remember when I played this map, I was quite frustrated about how the enemy mortar kept firing despite cutting off the creeper. It seems it had the ability to keep a large reserve so I found I still had to wait a rather long while before it actually stopped.

Really enjoyable map. I loved the new "anti-bertha" and "anti-mortar" and the way you had to starve them of resources until they run out of ammo.
